Hyundai i40 - headlight LED PCB

EN
There are plenty of videos and tutorial how you can change the headlight PCB of Hyundai i40.
Sure, you start with removing the bumper. Have to be done, because 2 bolts are on top, but other two are exactly behind it.
Then the light pop out and the cut must be made similar to that one:

In that line I mark in red, the cut will open really nice area to work in. Especially helpful for the lower screw. You`ll know what I mean if you do it.
Also, one of the cable looms is really close to the surface you cut, so be careful!
The original PCB when removed look like that:

As you see for some odd reason the output socket can be soldered left or right. And for a small job it does, it is full of SMD components. From the other hand, the replacement one is designed in Poland and have much less components, fit both model version lights and the output socket is in the middle so doesn`t matter if it is left or right light you will place it in.

Then all is fit in reverse order after of course you glue back the cut “window”.

That car in my case, had also missing the rear park lights. It is estate model (station wagon) and both stop and park lights are made with LED stripes. That is good on theory. In that case the moisture been present inside the light and many of the small connectors (power to LED stripe) had oxidation and bad contact. Also it was present over the PCB surface and despite the good clean it didnt do any good.

The solution in that case will be either full plastic body cut and fix the stripes or just change the whole light unit.
But I thought will be interesting to know what is inside anyway..
