Xantia Estate Trunk Cover plastic ends/hooks [FIX]

EN

Hi there,

If you own Xantia Estate perhaps some day you`ll get to the point where that damn plastic ends just break.

Well, option one is to pay 54e for pair and get from Citroen dealer if you still can, or …. 3D print them.

I spend quite some time measuring, CAD modelling and 3D print test, so finally can say have something useful:

You can get absolute… free the STL HERE as also the original solidworks file and same one converted into standard CAD types. The file is only one, but as you can see during the 3D model slicing you can make mirror of the original file and get both sides with no issue. Also, the way I place them for print (shown in the images above) seems to be the most easy and clean. If you have access to printer that can use PVA water dissolved filament same time with the main material, then horizontal print is recommended.

As for the settings, I use PLA material with 0.2mm layer, 0.3mm initial layer, 210° extruder temp, 63° bed temp. , 25-35% infill, 3 layer wall size and 90% fan cooling from the 3th layer upward. The support is ZigZag type with roof layer and 0.2mm distance.

Hope you find that post useful. Good luck!
