Ford Tourneo: Car sound update

EN

Good day,

Have you ever thought about improving the sound in cargo van? Me neither to be exact, but here is it. Mate of mine ask if we can do something fast. Well, improvement was: SUB woofer with AMP, new stereo, speakers and few hours lost.

- we began with leaving more space around:

- after that removed: side bottom panel, near driver`s seat and back / instrument cluster / old stereo

* instrument cluster removed, help me for easy install of that player-to-woofer signal cable

- power line…

When searching for service holes, found two with rubber caps below wiper`s arms area. Unfortunately, they aren`t so useful. Didn`t remember to take micro endoscope camera with me to check how it is inside, but access to cabin interior from there was not possible in few attempts. So, I skip that way and use the solution shown in the pictures above. With drill I`ve made one additional hole in the side pillar and ta daa.

* Player - well, there is second stone on your way. The OEM plugs are not ISO type. The good news here - in the shops you can find suitable extension. The bad news - that +12V and GND power supply cables (thick ones) are in that configuration that you have all the time power supply to the memory and player. In other words - every time you need manually to turn off / on the player instead with the ignition key. Control wire - yep, present. Solution - relay. Well, in my defence can say that should of put something small instead that one (40A) on the picture but didn`t find one.. :

Hope that brief info will be in help to someone 035.gif
