Fiat Panda 2 - window electric lifter FIX

In that topic, will explain something about PANDA. Well, not that chubby sweet bear bit the Italian one.
Here, the problem was : when push “window UP/DOWN” for the passenger front door it start in every 10-15% of move to stall. If help by hand it continue. After opening, and check the problem was nailed: main gear wheel worn bad.
What to do?
Well, one thing is to replace the whole unit from scrapyard or some new from ebay. Or again from ebay, you can buy new gear(there are some) and fix yours. What next:
- remove that 2 plastic covers:
- and then all screws marked here:
two at the very bottom, one under door handle , one under the plastic plastic close to open handle
When pull the trim(use plastic craw bar) lift it upward and take out the handle cable.
- carefully cut the glue with blade / knife and peal it down, remove the motor plug
- remove with 10mm spanner/socket that 5 nuts and pull the unit out. Well, before that you need to pull the window plastic locker. Just slide down/right and the “hook”/”stopper” will go.That is the most difficult part. My advice is to get the window around halpf the way down then try.

You can see how damaged the wheel is. Plastic used seems to be bad. The motor itself has metal shaft and worm gear.
So now, what you need to do is to remove / cut the plastic edge which keep the gear on place(around marked area).
Then replace with the new one and fit all in reverse order. Can use some hot silicone to glue back that “mat” on the door.
